Joel Purrington Memorial

In Loving Memory of Joel Purrington

The Purrington Animal Rescue was set up so Joel could realize his dream of caring for animals at his own animal rescue.

He loved all animals and wanted to take care of those who didn't have a home.

Joel lost his battle with bipolar disorder in July 2022, and we will continue the animal rescue and honor his memory by saving all the animals we can.

Our mission is to provide housing, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for stray, abandoned, surrendered, and abused animals.

The Purrington Animal Rescue is a no-kill animal rescue in Dallas, Texas with the mission to house and care for homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals.

We currently work with cats and are trying to expand to also take in dogs.

Our goal is to purchase country land outside of Dallas to give the cats and dogs a home-like environment with an on-site caretaker.

The Founders

The Purrington Animal Rescue was founded in 2020 by Tiana and Lisa Purrington and it was born from a desire to love and care for all the animals in need of homes.

We believe the animals should have a home environment to nurture and care for them while they wait for their forever home.

Our model is designed around a country home with outdoor space and an on-site caretaker so the animals can spend their days outside of cages.
