ABOUT US
Where and why it all started.
The Purrington Animal Rescue was founded in 2020 by Tiana and Lisa Purrington.
It was born from a desire to love and care for all the animals in need of homes.
We believe animals should have a home environment to nurture and care for them while they wait for their forever home.
Our model is designed around a country home with outdoor space and an on-site caretaker so the animals can spend their days outside of cages.
Our board of directors consists of Lisa Purrington, Allison Gutierrez, and Anne Marie Jones.
We established 501c3 federal nonprofit status in 2021.
Our first kittens were rescued in June 2021 and we have rescued 19 cats, with 12 having found their forever homes, as of April 2022.
Our mission statement is to provide housing, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for stray, abandoned, surrendered, and abused animals.
